Scottsdale freeway reopens after police situation

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) – Part of the Loop 101 freeway in Scottsdale has reopened closed after authorities talked a man down from an overpass. 

Scottsdale police say negotiators at  the scene were able to take a man down from a ledge on the Thomas Road overpass.

Part of the Loop 101 was closed for about two hours causing traffic to be backed up for miles in both directions.
