Scottsdale was named one of the most affordable Valentine’s Day destinations by savings-search website Coupons Daily.

Scottsdale ranked 11th on the list. For a romantic getaway, the list suggested lovers spend the night at downtown Scottsdale’s boutique hotel, the Bespoke Inn, or at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort Villas. It also suggested eating at Cafe Monarch or the Roaring Fork.

To keep the trip affordable, Coupons Daily suggested visitors to Scottsdale try out the Historic Scottsdale Walking Tour or spend time at Pinnacle Peak Park.

To highlight Scottsdale, the website used a photo of Monument Valley, which is near the Utah-Arizona border. Even though gas prices are down, driving more than 300 miles to Monument Valley might be beyond some travelers’ budgets.

Tourism is a huge part of Scottsdale’s, and the state’s, economy. In 2013, tourism brought in $19.8 billion to Arizona and generated more than 300,000 jobs, according to the Arizona Office of Tourism.

This is how the rankings of affordable destinations worked out:

  1. Charleston, South Carolina
  2. Carmel-by-the-Sea, California
  3. Key West, Florida
  4. Outer Banks, North Carolina
  5. Port Townsend, Washington
