Scottsdale PD tight-lipped, neighbors uneasy after murder

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Police detectives have left the Scottsdale neighborhood where a 31-year-old woman was found dead on Wednesday.

Investigators spent four days combing through Allison Feldman’s home near 85th Street and Monterey Way looking for evidence. They have not released any information about the crime.

Folks who live in the neighborhood told 3TV on Sunday they don’t know what to think and wonder who killed their young neighbor inside her own home.

“We’re up in the air,” neighbor Michael Rayo said. “We just don’t know what’s going on. We’d like to know because we’re all concerned here.”

Investigators say Allison Feldman’s body was discovered by her boyfriend about 4 p.m. Wednesday. Since then police haven’t said anything about suspects, a motive or how the woman was killed.

3TV spoke with Feldman’s older sister again Sunday afternoon.

“She was a beautiful person, she didn’t deserve this,” said Kelly Weinblatt, who lives in Minnesota. “If you look at her Facebook page right now there are a gazillion tributes out there. “Everyone loved Allison and she didn’t deserve what happened. So if anyone saw anything, the smallest of things that didn’t seem important at the time to please call the Scottsdale Police.”

In a separate interview late in the week, Weinblatt described her sister as her best friend in the whole world.”

“My maid of honor in my wedding, just a beautiful person all around.” she said.

“We literally can think of no one that would want to harm her. She was friends with everybody,” Weinblatt said.

She’s hoping her sister’s killer is caught quickly.

“Maybe somebody realizes they were driving through the neighborhood and didn’t think of it at the time, and maybe they saw something that didn’t seem important then but is important now,” Weinblatt said.

Authorities believe the murder happened between Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon.

Neighbors said Feldman had recently moved in.

Police have not said whether there are any suspects.
