Well-known Scottsdale restaurant closing, Asian fusion concept to fill space

Popular Scottsdale Mexican restaurant Los Olivos is closing its location near Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Loop 101.

Saturday will be the last day for Los Olivos Norte. Its been open in North Scottsdale for 19 years.

The restaurant’s well-known Old Town location remains open.

Scottsdale-based commercial real estate developer SimonCRE bought the 7,000-square-foot retail building at the Sonora Village Shopping Center for $2.05 million. SimonCRE has signed a lease with a yet to be disclosed Asian Fusion restaurant.

“This retail building is in an excellent location in a thriving center,” said Josh Simon, president of SimonCRE. “Although one popular restaurant is closing, we’re confident this new restaurant will have much success here.”
