15th Scottsdale International Film Festival rolls Nov. 5-9

The 15th Scottsdale International Film Festival will showcase 50 films from more than 20 countries during five days and nights of screenings, Nov. 5–9. Among the diverse offerings are buzz-worthy dramas, thrillers, romances, comedies, documentaries and more.

“For 15 years the Scottsdale International Film Festival has been bringing the best of world cinema to Arizona,” remarked Founder and Executive Director Amy Ettinger. “As always, our audiences will discover films that are entertaining, inspiring, thought-provoking, relevant and timely. As part of our new collaboration with Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, we have also planned several surprise selections exploring the subjects of music and dance.”

The Scottsdale International Film Festival will kick off on Thursday, Nov. 5, at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. Daytime programming will include screenings of animated and live-action short films for children. The Film Festival will host a reception that evening celebrating its 15th anniversary, followed by the opening night screening in the Center’s Virginia G. Piper Theater. (Opening night film and special guests to be announced.)

Following opening night, the Scottsdale International Film Festival will return to its longtime home, Harkins Shea 14 Theatre in Scottsdale, which will host all other screenings, Nov. 6–9.
